Superb close up. Love the details and the wet appearance.

this is great, some of the dropletts look almost like crystal. beautifully sharp.

@Rhys: thanks. i just wish i didn't get the camera's reflection in the droplets.
lovely drop of water and nice colors

@Laurent: thanks a lot! the color was probably the thing i struggled with the most. color is hard to control, and i seem to especially have trouble with green. it usually looks to saturated to me, but when I use selective color in photoshop to try to pull out some of that it's hard not to get weird colors, or end up with too much yellow or red.
Lucky charms! The droplets of water resemble diamonds or clear pearls adorning the clover. This would be a good one for Saint Paddy's Day next month!

@Kevin at OrganicPIX.com: i wish i'd thought of that title! i have some more of these shots i took at the same time, maybe i'll use one of those on St. Patrick's Day.
Neat - I really like the silvery drops of water and the organic composition.

@baobab: thanks a lot. i'm not sure what organic composition is, but it sounds good. one of the good things about photographs of the first rainfall are that the plants aren't already wet and it seems like the raindrops stay on top in droplet form longer/better.
This is so delicate and pretty. I feel refreshed just looking at it.

@Laurie: thank you very much!
LOL! I was just wondering, did you put the water on purpose or really after the rain shot? Oh who cares, its a really good picture. :)
6 Feb 2008 1:18pm
@Levine: thanks so much. no this was really after one of the first rainstorms of the fall last year. took it at the same as this image.
beautiful capture...

@Babul Bhatt: thanks!
great shot! those drops are beautiful!

@pixeltoko: thank you! this is really weird. i thought this was going to be one of my photos people wouldn't like much, but i don't seem to be a very good predictor of that.
Nice detail.

Love all the detail!

I was using organic in the usual sense of the word... natural. You clearly haven't artificially arranged the composition, so it has nature's somewhat haphazard charm. This makes it feel far more alive than if a similar image had been composed with perfect symmetry.
6 Feb 2008 5:24pm
@baobab: ahh. yes. ironically, i think that was part of the reason i didn't think most people would like the composition.
That is so nice.

'perfection' can be sterile and boring... :)
6 Feb 2008 6:48pm
Lovely the way the framing abstracts the subject.

Beautiful diamond droplets

Stunning! The depth and detail are just…stunning!

On here it's too small to see the image in the droplets, but in my opinion, it would be kinda cool if each drop had a tiny image of you taking the photo.
