@Irina Sh: thank you!
I like the way you put the subject, the sharpness and the colors - excellent work

Mmm, delicious texture and color. I also like the composition against the black background -- it really makes the subject pop!
13 Feb 2008 12:34pm
@Kevin at OrganicPIX.com: thanks, Kevin! i think you're right about the background, though i hadn't really thought of it that way. i guess black is just a default background so i don't end up with my wall or monitor in the shot. one day i'll get more creative with my backgrounds.
mmm, it looks delicious. nice contrast and texture!

Beautiful image although I think it looks a bit yukki! :) Great structure!

@pixeltoko: thank you! yucky? really? tangerines are great :)
nice composition. good work on the dark isolation was well.
13 Feb 2008 3:25pm
@jmb: thank you! i haven't heard the term 'dark isolation' before -- if it has to do with the background, i shot it with the tangerine on my black coat, so the background was black to begin with.
I like the way you have lit this, and its almost abstract shape is interesting too, good shot.
@Richard_Irwin: thanks a lot!
nice composition, delicious texture and color

Very cool shot. When your site first opened I thought it was going to be something gross like a heart or some other body part...lol at me. I was really relieved to see a scrumptous tangerine.
13 Feb 2008 4:54pm
@sherri: thanks. that sounds like a pretty disgusting image.
le choix du fond noir est très judicieux, cette mandarine apparait d'une manière presque surnaturelle...bon travail!

FANTASTIC

Something is shocking about this orange! Nice shot.

Great close up! Love the compo, lighting, and the way you presented it. Excellent!

Wow I love this picture. It reminds me of some anatomy photos of embryos..... I wouldn't say yummy but defiantly grabs your attention. Easily worth a macro day vote and your site a place in my bookmarks.
18 Feb 2008 5:36pm
@Andy B: Wow, thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked it that much! Interesting that so many people thought it was like an anatomy photo. Thanks again for visiting!
I saw the same thing sherri did --as the image unrolled down my screen my first thought was of some kind of internal organs. I think the texture is a contributing factor.
18 Feb 2008 6:27pm
@Twelvebit: Hmm, interesting. Well, I guess technically it is the internal organs of the tangerine.
awesome shot.

Good shot. The post processing is good and I love the orange colour.
