Beautiful nocturnal image - the streaming light adds a wonderful spotlight effect to all that it touches. And I like how as the light's reach fades to black as the parallel rails disappear in the night.

I do this kinda shots sometimes, underexpose and shadow highlight.

Lovely black and white, really like the flare off the light, did you use a filter??

@hixster: thanks. no, i'm not even sure what a filter is and i'm guessing they don't make them for my point and shoot anyway. the flare is just an accident caused mainly by the fact that i have trouble getting good night shots and the only real setting on my camera to improve my night shots a bit is to up the exposure.
