GJC from Kyoto, JapanHooray! Let's see lots more. I like the blues here, especially as they come through the petals. 22 Feb 2008 6:16am José-Angel from Sant Feliu de Llobregat, SpainTienes preciosas imágenes en tú blog! Gracias por haber contactado. UN saludo! 22 Feb 2008 8:45am @José-Angel: Thanks a lot! (the online translator says you said "You have beautiful images in you blog! Thanks for having contacted. A greeting!") Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomAh, beautiful, very well taken in strong light. 22 Feb 2008 12:12pm don from spokane, United StatesThe blossoms are gorgeous against that fine blue sky. A wonderful springtime image. 22 Feb 2008 4:20pm Melissa from Warsaw, United StatesGorgeous. I cannot wait until Spring. We have more than a few weeks before we see blossoms here. Great capture! 22 Feb 2008 4:23pm @Melissa: Thank you! It's not quite spring here yet either, but close to it, and the occasional tree looks a lot like it. Scarabaeus from Manchester, United KingdomLovely colours. I like the contrast betweent the pink and blue. 22 Feb 2008 4:33pm Harald from Frankfurt am Main, GermanyA wonderful Spring picture. Beautiful Colors and contrast. I am looking forward for the Spring-season. 22 Feb 2008 5:05pm Jen from Alpharetta, United StatesYou must be down south somewhere!! 22 Feb 2008 5:55pm vu@granby from Granby, Québec, CanadaNice Spring shot ! I like those blooming flowers against that blue sky. vu@granby - Gilles Martineau 22 Feb 2008 7:27pm standley from brou-sur-chantereine, FranceSuperb composition. The colours are wonderful! 22 Feb 2008 8:40pm Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesFrom the looks of things where you are, spring has got to be sprung! Nice photo. 22 Feb 2008 9:01pm Kevin at OrganicPIX.com from DFW, Texas, United StatesGorgeous! 22 Feb 2008 9:17pm baobab from Cambridge, United StatesIt is snowing in the northeast (I just came in from moving the car and shovelling the sidewalk) - I am envious! aminus3 compresses away a lot of the detail - may be nice to see a zoom-in crop to a few blossoms. 22 Feb 2008 9:57pm @baobab: yes, well it's clear i'm not in massachusetts ;) in this case i can't blame aminus3 for all the detail lost, i'm not sure i caught a whole lot more than what's here -- i could post a macro but it wouldn't be very sharp. How's this? @Craiger: Thanks a lot, Craiger! baobab from Cambridge, United StatesThere are some nice blossoms in the foreground, but they are pointing at the sun and away from you... I assume that you did some pp. It is tough to get these shots with perfect exposure for each of the very different textures and colours and distances from the lens. Spring comes later in Massachusetts... you will note that my spring shots from last year were taken in May :) btw, thanks for your comment on the moon shots. I was thinking of you when I took them... struggling with my tripod (which is too light to hold the camera + big lens perfectly steady). It reminded me of your comments about taking night shots without tripods. There's a neat article on creating a string tripod here (found via am3) which should work well with a point and shoot. 22 Feb 2008 11:50pm @baobab: i did do a little photoshopping on this one but i pretty much just used picasa for the one i linked to in response to your previous comment. it is tough to get these shots and i confess i didn't spend much time actually taking this one -- snapped it in about two seconds on my way to my car in a parking lot. the moon shots were nice. i saw the article about the string tripod but i haven't found time to see if i can find the stuff for it and give it a try yet. thanks for your comments! Daroru from Amagasaki, JapanReally punchy image, like the 'bright spot' holding attention at the centre. 23 Feb 2008 2:59am Oswegan from Lake Oswego, United StatesWow, that's nice. I wish it were like that here. 23 Feb 2008 4:34am @sherri: yup. this year. drphoto from Newcastle upon Tyne, United KingdomThis is a beautiful shot. It reminds me of traditional japanese artwork. For a 'quick snap' you have done very well =D) Dan 26 Feb 2008 12:44am Sandrine from Cincinnati, United StatesHo... I'm ready for spring! beautiful colors! 27 Feb 2008 12:00am |
