Excuse me,What's the fidohouse?

@mckun: the actual term is just a word they made up for their brand. "Fido" is a common name used for and associated with dogs. This is just something holding plastic bags people can use to pick up their pets' droppings and throw them away.
This is interesting. Nice capture of a something that hardly catches anyone's attention. I have no clue what it is, though.

@Sujit Sudhi: Thanks. it is a small trash can and bags for people to pick up and throw away their animals' (pets') "waste."
ah, what is this country where you can take yourself inthe street paltic bag..to bring always more pollution.... in the nature... ?? :-)))

I wish they had Fido Houses here! Nice documentation!

Ah, yes, we have a whole range of these 'facilities' in London. Gotta love those instruction stickers, too!

Interesting shot! I've never seen these in the parks I visited in the US. These wouldn't be here in Jamaica as people rarely carry there dogs for walks. convenient concept.

@Stunner: thanks! most places i know don't have them just a few places.
"Animal Waste Only" -- Good to know... I'm starting to see these more and more. I wonder if they recycle...;)

Today's post and comments are a strong statement about your interest in anthropology and the role the www might play in bridging/educating. This (fido house) is not a concept that would not have seemed necessary to me as a youngster, for instance, and today they're commonplace in my culture. Very interesting statement.

@Ron: thanks a lot, Ron! You sound like somebody who actually has an idea what anthropology is!
Cute shot...nice of them to have a garbage can too! I have seen some that they give you the bag but no can to put the bag in!

Cool and interesting. But I am wondering who puts this fidohouse up and keeps the bags full, a strong HOA (home owners' association)?

This is an exceptional photo. It's also interesting. I've never seen the supply boxes before:-) Love those flowers.

Too funny! Thanks for enlightening the world on this one -- they exist in my area too; however, not everyone walking their dog uses them :-(

Hmm, I wonder what's in the can.

@Oswegan: funny
hehe, cool

It's a "Fido" house, yet the instructions refer to hands instead of paws. My dog hates that.
