Your bird friend was a very cooperative model ... nice contrast and vivid colors ... the pattern created by the brick provides for a nice frame.

He stood just in the right spot for this shot, great patterns and such a cute little bird. (I'm off to go and see if I can find out what it's called, he looks like some sort of Finch to me :) )

That's neat, right on the corner.

Even birds like to have their pictures taken. Really like the processing in the shot.

Very interesting with the textures and the bird.

Love those bricks! It was nice of the little guy to pose for you. ;) Nice capture!

nice composition and flow. did you try cropping the picture on the left to shift the bird to approx 1/3 of the way into the frame? this might make the bird feel a little more dynamic and take out the distraction of the CTU in the upper left corner, which pulls the eye away from the focus.

Exceptional image. I love brick pavers laid in the basket weave pattern like this. The bird is beautiful and it looks as if it's standing there communicating with you. Like...how's this look? :-)

Well done Dan!

good work on this image. Was the bird born in 1931? : )

excellent catch - I like this image a lot

Like the herring bone pattern - as if a trail. While birds can fly, it appears this is a starting point for the little feathered friend - similar to the "yellow brick road" -- which path to find to take?

What kind of bird is it? For me, if it's not a black bird, mourning dove, robin, blue jay, cardinal, pigeon, or sparrow, I have to ask my wife.

@Twelvebit: i really have no idea -- from your list of bird names, it sounds like your bird identification skills are ahead of mine ;)
It's like walking on the edge of the line.
