I'm wondering how confident you were that this would show so well in the image. As it happens, it works out real well and leaves us wondering what created it. Daring to be different is good!

@Ronnie 2¢: thanks a lot! the wind created it by blowing the grass in different directions. i didn't even see it when i took the shot. didn't even see it afterwards for a long time, til started upping the shadows. I guess i just happened to point at a good part of the grass!

@Melissa W.: thanks! it was completely by accident. I just pointed and shot at the grass on a tiny hill and after i started processing and increasing the shadows eventually i saw it.

@Persian King: thanks! i actually didn't use flash, but it was an extremely bright sunny day, maybe i should have toned down the contrast in processing.
