@Klaus: thank you so much! i especially appreciate it coming from such a talented photographer. but actually, this is not HDR (it's kind of hard to do HDR with my camera since it can't get me the 3 images that are the same except for exposure), but I have noticed that when I do Shadow/Highlight adjustments in photoshop, my images sometimes come out looking like I used HDR.

@Anthony Lambert: yes, sorry, i probably should have been more specific. if it's any consolation i much prefer real football (aka 'soccer') to 'American' football :)

Superb compo and treatment Danthro. But you know, I think that colour photography has been a great step forward ! ( I say this, but I have once published a dseries of B and W pictures on my site. I wanted to express sadness and desolation !)

Nice monotone. You can still do a "fake" HDR by creating three separate exposures --avg, dark, and light. It works pretty well on some images even though it isn't actually extending the dynamic range.
