too much going on right now, so i haven't been able to catch up on everyone's blogs--and it's looking like it's only going to get worse. this is actually exciting for other aspects of my life but something has to give... i'll still be posting photos as i can, but since photoblogging is supposed to be my stress relief, not a source of stress (e.g. feeling bad when i'm unable to respond to comments or follow your work--not only because i so appreciate your having doing that for my work but also because i enjoy seeing and being inspired by yours), this will unfortunately have to be one of the things that 'gives.' again, danthro is not disappearing, just appearing less.
Comments, feedback, criticism, suggestions, etc. are always appreciated. Thanks! Image too large? Click the 'small' link in the bottom right corner for a smaller view.

I always love clock towers. Beautiful structure; nicely captured.

Another great depiction of the Berkley tower - especially like the trees and sky in this version.

Great shot once again. Is sky always that blue at your neck of the woods?

You've really captured the beauty of this campus setting. This is a tough shot - you've got the deep shadow in the foreground and the beautiful light in the rest of the image and the light colored tower is prone to overblown highlights ... but you've done a nice job of pulling it all together. Did you cross-process and combine the two with a layer mask?

@Ron: thanks! I had a tough time with it. as far as the shadows and highlights and tones, the main thing I did for that was a photoshop 'shadow/highlight' adjustment. i did use some layering, but i think the main thing i used that for was to desaturate the colors in the trees because after the shadow/highlight adjustment they were just so saturated it was annoying me to no end, i think i may have overdone the desaturation though.
You're not in some kind of phallic mode are you?

I think that b&w is better - but it's only my opinion
