So, are you painting and drawing or just photographing? Personally, I love drawing and drawings --even more than paintings and photos.

@Twelvebit: i like drawing but i usually have no idea what to draw and i'm not very good at it, so i usually end up scribbling or doodling, occasionally it ends up with a sort of interesting scribble, but i guess maybe that's part of what i like about photography. it's a lot easier for me to capture what i find interesting about things with a camera, and if i have an idea and want to do something more with the photograph, great, if not, that's fine too

I think drawing is mostly a process of learning to see, as opposed to learning a mechanical process. If you're interested I recommend the book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" --which approaches the subject from this perspective.

@Melissa W.: thanks. you're probably thinking of this image. i took this at the same time from a higher POV (standing on a table), as opposed to the low POV on the previous one. i didn't really like the composition of this one as much but i was kind of in a hurry to get out an image so i just decided to see what i could do with the tones in this.
