What processing type did you use ?

@Erik: shadow/highlights, desaturation, gaussian blur > multiply, a lighter layer on top.

There is a dark , scary feeling to this frame.. A horror movie? :)

nice atmosphere

This is a really interesting effect. It seems you can make the most mundane scene shine!

@Andrew Gould: thanks a lot, Andrew! I did some of the stuff I do ordinarily (see response to comment above) but the main thing which I did differently here was i created a layer of the image on which i heavily used the 'dodge' tool, and then i lowered the fill level. it was an attempt to salvage an image i liked but that didn't turn out too well in untouched form (hey, it's a night shot with my camera and lack of tripod, almost never turns out well).
Eerire night time effect. Love the glow of the lights.

I like the lights...this also registers on the ol' spooky meter. To me, it makes me think that this is from a stalker's pov waiting for his prey. Not really sure why I think that. Maybe I should have started with this picture and moved my way back instead of seeing yesterday's pic before this one.

I like the noisy mood

Looks like a grainy CCTV image, interesting effect in this one!

Huh. I like a lot of stuff you do here on your site, but I have to say I'm not a big fan of this one. The gaussian blur and other post-processing has an interesting visual effect, but I'm not sure it adds to or complements the composition of the picture (perhaps maybe a more selective gaussian blur around the edges might). I'd be interested to see this same photo with just your levels/curves adjustments.

@Justin Haaheim: appreciate the feedback. just for you, here's the original with only light editing (which is explained in the image description).
I like the graininess of this. The road looks a little deserted. I take it you were in a safe area:-)

super creepy. I like how you kept some orange tones to the lights in the back. And thanks for the processing explanations!

I, too, like how you processed this. It has a haunting feel danthro, almost expect someone/apparition to jump into the frame!

Love this misty light effect. Great

back to your spooky night shots... :) I like all the strong diagonal / triangular lines.

Excellent capture. Love the atmosphere and composition.

I kind of lean in Justin's direction on this one. I actually like the original better, even though I find the haloing around the lights a little distracting.

I don't know. I keep looking back and forth --can't really make up my mind. This one does have sort of a haunting feel to it.
