for some reason i found the idea of me with my point-n-shoot standing next to all these 'real' photographers kind of amusing.

I wondered if there were other photographers ... I don't think I saw any in the earlier shots ... but it is an amusing idea of you mixing it up with the guys with the long lenses. You're selling yourself short, here ... you're as much of a "real" photographer as anyone else in the room ... you just have a different motivation for your shooting. Ralph reminds me of the Energizer bunny ... he just keeps on going and going and going ...

@Lunamania: thanks. i assume by 'contender' you mean polling a percent close to the Dem and Repub candidates... indeed, that would be amazing, he's polling at 6% now, but it will only take a little support for him to be a contender to push issues. that's the way third parties/independents have gotten us things like the end of slavery and the women's right to vote.

Nice shot. Why isn't Nader a contender when a guy who is either completely craven or possibly insane, like McCain, is? Because almost all the MSM is owned by three huge corporations with a vested interest in seeing corporate whores like McCain elected and keeping anyone tainted by the slightest tint of honesty out of public office.

@Twelvebit: someone asked me a few months ago which of the legitimate candidates i thought was going to win... i told him i don't consider people who are destroying the country and world 'legitimate.'
