untitled elementary school closing 4

went to see someone who lives near an elementary school i attended. he mentioned it's being closed so i decided to take some photos for a series...

this is a larger view of the map of the United States in yesterday's shot. the play structure you see next to the tree in the distance wasn't there when i was a kid--instead there was a giant (or so it seemed at the time), two-story "tin can" that even now i think is much cooler.

sorry i'm not able to catch up on everyone's blogs as i'd like to, focusing on other pursuits more now.

@Robert: Thanks a LOT, Robert! I very much appreciate the advice--definitely not out of place, and i will start trying it. In this shot, I just didn't like how I lost detail (for lack of a better term) in the middle ground on the blacktop, but that's not because of the tilted POV, it's because it's a big blacktop and a high position i took the shot from to try to get the map into the frame. Anyway, thanks again!
